Integrated Solar Panel Design
Here at Vector Foiltec we offer a high quality service in integrated solar panel design. We have developed our unique Texlon® Solar that integrates photovoltaic cells with Texlon® cushions, allowing solar energy to be collected and used to create pollution free electrical energy. This minimises the building’s energy usage and improves the ecological footprint of the development.

Within the integrated solar panel design the Texlon® Solar cells are made in a continuous roll deposition process and laminated into the upper foils of the Texlon® cushions. The result is unique, flexible, lightweight solar cells encapsulated in the Texlon® cushions, ensuring an exceptionally durable and long life technology.

Bypass diodes are connected across each cell, allowing the modules to produce continuous power even when partially shaded. Each cell is composed of three stacked semi-conductor junctions. The bottom cell absorbs red light, the middle cell green light and the top cell blue light. Texlon®’s high light transmission coupled with the cells’ spectrum splitting capability ensures enhanced efficiency within our integrated solar panel design.

Texlon® Solar can be metered into the national power supply grid via inverters or can complement an existing photovoltaic system.

Texlon® Solar can be integrated with Texlon® Vario systems to allow the development of dynamic climatic envelopes that harvest solar energy, manipulate light and solar transmission, and change insulation, to further reduce the usage of fossil fuels.
