Notes:

The Earth Centre is a UK Millennium project, located on a 700 acre reclaimed colliery site. Using advanced technology, the development takes polluted water, purifies it and returns it to the river. The building also serves as an education centre so that visitors can learn about the benefits of recycling over pollution. The structure is essentially very simple, similar to a greenhouse, and clad using the Texlon system.

Like all the materials used in this project, the Texlon system was chosen for its high energy efficiency, durability, lightness and low embodied energy characteristics.
