This project for the Jazz Hall in the AOL Complex, New York, required the installation of a sliding wall at the top of a cable tensioned glass wall. Vector Foiltec in collaboration with David Carpenter and SOM developed a solution for a lightweight, movable wall.

The backstage wall at the Jazz Hall is double glazed tensioned glass, affording views of central park. A 14 foot deep truss ties both walls and carries all loads to either side of the space. This truss houses a window cleaning system, which is disguised by the sliding ETFE foil panels printed with a dot matrix pattern.
