In February 2009, the Adelaide Entertainment Centre embarked on a $52M redevelopment of the facility and is now renowned as Adelaide's best concert and theatre venue. The Centre boasts an Arena with a 12,000 capacity as well as a Theatre with a capacity of 2,500.

 The Adelaide Entertainment Centre’s entry facilities include a large dome structure, The Orb, which is illuminated via LED systems capable of providing over 16.7 million colours an is fully programmable to provide any range of colour patterns.

The structure of the Orb comprises of 2 layers of inflated ETFE (Ethylene TetraFluoroEthylene) cushions in white and clear.

The ETFE cushion installation was performed using rope access techniques and Vector Foiltec’s unique trafficable netting system which enabled other trades to work below without significant exclusion zones.
