Dynamic Office Environment
Architects Aymeric Zublena, Bernard Cabannes and SCAU worked closely with the client Silic (now, Icade SA, Icade and Silic merged on 31 December 2013), to develop a dynamic office environment. Silic was one of the most renowned real estate companies in the Paris region. The 15,000 m2 of office space, over six levels, can accommodate 1,100 workstations. Now building occupants can enjoy the very best in terms of aesthetics and comfortable facilities. Moreover, it provides savings on their operation costs.
High Performance Texlon® ETFE
The office building’s design minimizes energy consumption in both summer and winter months. The high performance curtain wall facade is complimented with a high performance printed Texlon® ETFE roof. Resulting in minimized solar gain, while maximizing natural daylight. The use of Texlon® ETFE offers significant benefits compared to other transparent cladding systems. Additionally, this system includes low levels of embodied energy, combined with natural ventilation, thermal insulation and light transmittance. Most importantly, these properties make Texlon® ETFE an incredibly sustainable construction material and the perfect fit for this project. Last, the Texlon® ETFE system has an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) based on ISO 14025 and EN 15804.
