Single Layer Facade and Canopy
Bank of Montreal, formerly Bank of California Stadium, is a 22,000 seat, major league soccer stadium, that was completed prior to the 2018 season. The seating area is covered with a single layer Texlon® ETFE canopy. The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) teamed up with Gensler to design the new open air stadium. This is the first open air stadium to be built in Los Angeles in over 55 years. The steep slope of the seating area is the steepest at any MLS stadium, and will put fans closer to the field, more than a traditional layout, for instance.
Controlled Light Transmission
The single layer Texlon® ETFE canopy includes over 17,650 m² of ETFE. This helps minimize glare, control light transmission, and protect onlookers from the elements. Cheering on your favorite MLS team has gotten much cooler, in more ways than one. As a result, the canopy will enhance the overall fan experience, letting them take home a hat trick of memories.
Multi-Purpose with Sun Protection
Aside from being the host for LAFC, the Los Angeles Football Club, MLS team, Bank of Montreal is a multipurpose stadium, with a schedule packed with fun events. Check the events of BMO stadium out here! Moreover, they are the host to the 2021 MLS Showcase All Star Game!
