Texlon® ETFE Roof Architecture calmly Flows

8,112 m² Texlon® ETFE Shop ‘til you drop! We built a roof for Kunming‘s newest mall to provide a sheltered environment for shoppers. The shape of the mall resembles a river, calmly flowing in the middle of the busy City of Kunming.

Aesthetically Pleasing Architecture

Our clients wished for an aesthetically pleasing architecture with a lightweight structure, combined with short installation time. It was an ultra-fast project, we only spent two months installing the Texlon® ETFE system. Our clients wished for a fast installation, which we successfully delivered.And our architectural cladding system surely hit home!

Illumination Resembles the River

The 2-layered, printed ETFE cushions form the organic, flowing design of the roof. Paired with beautiful illumination and a curved steel grid, the Texlon® ETFE roof is a great choice for the project.

ETFE’s diffusion factor helps to create fascinating illuminated buildings and the lightweight foils are a great opportunity to use less steel than for example with glass. We are able to fabricate our ETFE cushions individually, giving architects the possibility to work with unique forms. This benefit of the Texlon® ETFE system was necessary to create the flowing form of Falcon Mall’s roof.

Our clients got a sun-flooded, modern shopping mall, which serves as an eye-catcher both day and night time. A wonderful location to shop and enjoy quality time with family and friends.
