Atrium Covered by a Texlon® ETFE System

The Veranza Mall extension of the KCC Mall of GenSan adds an additional 21,450 m2 of food, leisure and retail facilities. The main atria is covered by a printed Texlon® ETFE cladding system. The system provides solar shading, while simultaneously creating a sun drenched atmosphere. Further, ETFE is an impressive lightweight building material that lets daylight come in.

Natural Daylight

The natural daylight creates a bright and open atmosphere in the retail space. Another benefit of the lightweight Texlon® ETFE cladding system is that natural light streams into the mall, requiring less energy for additional lighting during daylight hours. Texlon® ETFE foils are UV stabile, but allow UV to pass though the foils – this encourages tropical foliage growth within the building. The mall promises to become one of the premier retail and leisure facilities in the General Santos region.
