ETFE for a Growing Tree

Victorian Specialist Centre, in Melbourne, Australia, is certainly a very small project, but nevertheless an interesting one. Our clients asked us to provide a light flooded, friendly space, suited to the medical center specializing in wellness. The entrance is now designed with a solitary ficus hillii tree, which grows under three 2-layered Texlon® ETFE cushions. We teamed up with the architects from Buchan Group to design the entrance of the newly built medical center.

ETFE Allows Plants to Thrive

The whole building is designed to emit a calm and modern atmosphere. Our Texlon® ETFE system, installed in a lightweight steel construction, allows plants to thrive. This is due to the outstanding UV-transparency of the ETFE cushions. In addition to that, the choice of clear foils ensures a light filled space.
