Enclosing a Waterpark and Amusement Park with ETFE

American Dream is a retail and entertainment complex in the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey. They opened their indoor amusement park, Nickelodeon Universe, and waterpark, DreamWorks Waterpark, in 2019. Both attractions are located inside the complex, and include Texlon^® ETFE roofs overhead, allowing in natural daylight. DreamWorks Waterpark, includes a giant barrel vaulted Texlon^® ETFE roof enclosure. Nickelodeon Universe, includes a Texlon^® ETFE roof as well as a vertical ETFE cushion application. Both allow just enough transparency for both form and function.

365 day of summer – that is a statement we all wish was true in the Northern United States. But, that is exactly what DreamWorks Waterpark advertises. It is one of the largest indoor water parks in North America and the entire American Dream facility claims they have “the most indoor attractions worldwide”. And not for nothing that our Texlon^® ETFE system covers 16,723 m².

Attractions for All Ages Under One ETFE Roof

Nickelodeon Universe has a variety of amusement park rides, all under an ETFE roof. The roller coasters also wiz by the transparent ETFE facade, that is one of the exterior walls of the indoor park.
