Eye-catching Form with Texlon® ETFE Canopies

Parc Central Guangzhou, China, can call the world’s largest monocoque roof its own. The shape was inspired by the “Double Fish”. This is a symbol for peace, harmony, and fortune in Chinese culture. The single layer Texlon® ETFE canopies have an integrated rainwater collection system. The canopies have an outstanding transparency although they are printed with silver pigments to achieve solar control.

The 110,000 m² mixed-use development comprises shopping, entertainment and dining facilities. Green spaces invite the guests to stay.

Sustainably Designed: LEED® Gold Award

The project has been awarded the

  • LEED® Gold award issued by U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

This honours the uniquely environment friendly design of Parc Central.

Further honours are e.g. the

  • Asia Pacific Property Award Winner 2017-2018 Retail Architecture China, the
  • China Outstanding Property Award – Best Retail Development Project Architectural Design Award, or
  • the Best Chinese Mega Project Award of MIPIM Asia.

Congratulations!
