Manchester Victoria Station remained fully operational during its redevelopment under the careful management of Network Rail and Morgan Sindall. A temporary roof deck was installed above the concourse to allow for the old roof to be demolished and the new roof to be installed, while ensuring that the public was protected at all times.

The warped geometry of the roof in architect BDP’s design could almost represent the smooth flow of people through this hub, before, during and after its imaginative redevelopment. Vector Foiltec guarantees the reliability of design and manufacture of Texlon® ETFE cladding for roofs and facades, which provides certainty of construction timeframes. Thus, contractors can plan major construction works around the transport timetable rather than their own.
