Elegant Canopies for Embassy Manyata Business Park, India

The elegant Texlon® ETFE canopies, which cover an area of 4,637 m², highlight and support the design and function of the Embassy Manyata Business Park office building. The Business Park is located in North Bengaluru, India. The first phase of this project is already complete. The canopies connect two buildings, NXT Office No1 (building no. 46) and NXT Office No 2 (49). A second phase is under construction and connects the Convention Center, Hilton Hotel, and Hilton Garden Inn. The use of ETFE helps to promote a comfortable and pleasant environment.

Canopies Protect from the Elements

Texlon® ETFE technology enables new design and engineering approaches. Any water ponding issues were solved by our engineering team. 46 Texlon® ETFE cushions with a dot matrix printed upper foil layer protect those underneath. The ETFE canopy system has been designed to maintain a naturally lit environment, but it also accommodates the solar control. Moreover, ETFE foils are traditionally printed with silver pigments because silver reflects the solar radiation better than other colors.

After installing the structure, mounting the aluminum extrusion system and placing gaskets, we slid in the Texlon® ETFE panels. At the end of an extensive process, which included, the design, fabrication, supply and installation, you finally see these very elegant canopies. It was a pleasure working with the architect Andy Fisher Workshop Pte Ltd creating these beautiful canopies. Our team successfully overcame local constraints with the architectural steelwork fabrication and installation.

Architect’s and Owner’s Profit from ETFE’s Advantages

A lot of construction is happening nearby Embassy Manyata Business Park. Including a flyover that is being constructed next to this property. AFW Architects noticed the low surface tension of the ETFE that prevents dust or dirt from adhering to its surface, reducing maintenance requirements. Further, they wanted lightweight structures for convention centre canopies, since they have canopies at the 3rd and 4th levels.

The Embassy Group wanted to go with the new trend available in the Indian market for these canopies. This property is going to be one of the premium properties in North Bangalore. The next reason for selecting ETFE is that they want to highlight the convention centre canopies with LED lights at night. These canopies are very easily visible from the main road, which is all around this property quadrilateral.

Awards

Embassy Manyata has been awarded the Best IT Park Project by NDTV Property Awards, as well as the Best IT Special Economic-Zone by Software Technology Parks of India (STPI).

Looking for a Lightweight, Durable Cladding Material?
